No legitimate company will EVER ask for your credit details or retain them on file without a scam motive.Įven more so when you have bought and PAID for a product they then can't turn around and demand your credit details. Just went to activate it to be confronted by a screen wanting a credit card, trend micro not giving any walk around for installing unless you hand over credit details and agree to auto renewal. He then offers some crap that because he sees my badge in my wallet he offers me a community discount for helping the community, he will eat the loss, $40. He admits he is, and then tries to give it to me for $60 claiming he wont get commission but his numbers will stay up. ![]() Tried to do scare campaign, I tell him I get it, you get commission. Then while buying laptop and saying no, it was oh no there is a black friday special, trend micro for $80. First the product was $100 down from $180 on sale with a laptop. Heavy handed salesman at harvey norman pushed this hard. They will lie and try to bribe you to hold your money. You will struggle to get your money back as I still haven't received my refund almost 1 month later. Buyer beware as soon as they get your details they will take money when ever they feel. I have now proceeded to report and request refunds from every angle available to try and get my refund which was never authorised anyway. Every day I get a new email from a different rep saying something different usually it is either a bribe or a blantant lie. Then more excuses they have now gone with the excuse that I had a case against them which was not true. ![]() They finally agreed to refund the money and after more than a week I still had not received a refund. Read more empts at requesting a refund and then they tried to bribe me to let them hold the money until I wanted to use it. I contacted Trend multiple times to which they made odd excuses. Feb 2022 my account had $69.95 (an odd amount compared to my usual subscription) deducted. I had not received any correspondance from Trend since my last renewal in Feb 2021 no even a spammy advertisement, no emails that my subscription would auto renew because that has NEVER been ticked EVER. I stopped being a customer in 2021 around July due to a breaking my laptop so it was no longer required. NEVER have I EVER signed up for Auto renew.
